Fast Food Emptyness

Over the last 2 – 3 years I have been struggling to get off fast food. It has been a challenge on many levels. Convenience seems to be the thing that sticks out most in my mind when I try to justify going to big chain fast food. An as a single person that adds to it. Why take the time to cook a meal for one? Same thing works for a family why should I could for everyone when I just got done working all day?

Convenience is not what this is about though. This is about the empty feeling after eating fast food. Even just eating at home a few times a week I can notice how I feel full with less food and no empty feeling a few hours later. Like a vacuum in my stomach the is on and does not go off for a few days after the last time I eat. I am sure there is lots of research and engineering that goes into fast food. So I am curious if this is intended affect.

The next day the craving is so strong its not like a regular hunger feeling. An if you eat enough fast food for long enough you don’t even realize how magnified this feeling is compared to eating food from home. To think that our food is being engineered to make us feel hungrier so we buy more is a really trippy thought.
